Flashi - AI Flashcards & Quiz
Create or import flashcard decks, review with spaced repetition and practice quizzes on iPhone or iPad, with a limited free tier and optional Pro subscription.
A structured spaced-repetition routine with existing study material
Consider Flashi for studying existing Anki or CSV material in a structured iPhone/iPad workflow. Check imported card formatting and AI-generated answers yourself. Review the session-recording and external-AI disclosures before studying sensitive material.
Keep in mind: No installed-device, import-compatibility, scheduling, widget or learning-outcome test was performed.

What you can do
- Create and edit cards manually or request an AI-generated deck
- Import Anki .apkg/.colpkg decks or CSV study material
- Use Learn, Review, Cram and Quiz study modes with SM-2 scheduling
- Track review progress and optionally share a selected deck by link
Good for
- A structured spaced-repetition routine with existing study material
- Learners comparing Anki/CSV import and AI-assisted card creation
Consider alternatives for
- A guarantee of exam performance or correct AI-generated facts
- A promise that no study content ever leaves the device
Start with a small deck you can verify
Import a short deck and inspect its fronts, backs and formatting before relying on the full collection. Check AI-generated definitions, examples and quiz answers against a trusted source. A scheduling algorithm can organize review but does not establish that the card content is correct.
Separate the study library from online features
The publisher describes local study data, but requesting AI output, generating quiz distractors, sharing a deck or sending feedback can transmit selected content. The disclosed early-launch session recordings are another distinct route. Do not treat no sign-up as a guarantee of zero collection.
Read the free quota before subscribing
The current store description sets two free decks and three daily AI generations. Multiple legacy/current subscription entries appear, so do not assume the lowest listed price is the available offer. Check the paywall and Apple subscription terms for the actual plan.
Limitations & considerations
- No installed-device, import-compatibility, scheduling, widget or learning-outcome test was performed.
- The submitted source is the developer website, not an independent review. The original lock-screen-widget claim was not independently established.
- Core study data is described as local, but AI operations, sharing, feedback and sampled screen recordings have separate online data paths. Inspect the policy before importing confidential material.
Privacy & permissions
The policy says core decks and study history are stored locally. AI generation sends topic requests to Google Gemini, with Anthropic Claude as a fallback. Quiz card text can also be sent to generate distractor answers; offline study does not imply offline AI.
Firebase Analytics may collect usage/device information and deck topics or names. RevenueCat manages purchase entitlements. Shared decks and submitted feedback are uploaded to Firebase Firestore.
The policy discloses PostHog session recordings for some new users during their first three launches. Recordings can capture on-screen flashcards and taps; password and feedback-email fields are masked. Recordings are retained for up to 90 days. Anonymous recording does not mean card contents remain only on the device.
The current App Store label declares linked purchases, contact information, user content, identifiers, usage and diagnostics, including advertising identifiers. These declarations are separate from no-account and local-storage claims; no independent network audit was performed.
