Math Zen: Exam Prep & Drill

Practice generated math problems, open a relevant rule after a mistake and retry the same type with new numbers.

Our take

Learners who want to review a mistake and repeat the underlying problem type

Consider Math Zen for repeated practice around a mathematical concept you want to understand. Attempt a problem, inspect the related rule and worked example, then try another problem of that type. The mistake journal gives that review a place to continue. Start with the available core topics; Premium expands the library and exam paths. Neither adaptive difficulty nor exam branding establishes improved scores.

Keep in mind: The website’s template/subtopic counts lag the current store description. They are dated provider claims, not one verified combined inventory.

What you can do

  • On-device generated problems and adaptive, topic-based progression
  • Built-in rules and worked examples alongside the relevant problem
  • A mistake journal that returns to the same problem type with fresh numbers
  • Broader topic and exam-preparation paths, with fuller access and analytics in Premium

Good for

  • Learners who want to review a mistake and repeat the underlying problem type
  • Offline practice with optional progress synchronization

Consider alternatives for

  • A guarantee of exam readiness or an independently checked answer bank
  • Assuming every topic and exam path is free

Make the wrong answer useful

Try a problem before opening the rule. If the answer is wrong, inspect the relevant explanation and worked example, then attempt a new version with different numbers. That gives a clearer check of understanding than only rereading a worked solution.

Choose a topic before an exam label

Start with the concept you need and use the mistake journal to revisit it. The store describes a wider current library than the older website figures; avoid choosing only by a template count. An exam path describes the provider’s practice organization, not proof of alignment with every current examination or a promised score.

Editorial basis

The official website, privacy policy and US App Store version 1.31.0 and purchase list were reviewed November 3, 2026. We keep the current store inventory and older website counts distinct. Official images contain example progress, not our results. No problem set, solution accuracy or learning outcome was tested, and no payment or positive coverage was promised.

Limitations & considerations

  • The website’s template/subtopic counts lag the current store description. They are dated provider claims, not one verified combined inventory.
  • The precise list of core free topics and eligibility for the different lifetime purchase entries are not established.
  • The official site states that the app is not available in mainland China app stores. Check your regional storefront before planning access.

Privacy & permissions

The policy describes local practice records and optional account-based Supabase synchronization. An offline practice path does not imply that every service stays offline.

It also lists RevenueCat purchase processing and PostHog usage analytics, which the provider says can be disabled in settings. No privacy or synchronization audit was performed.
