Wethra: Weather Outfit Planner

Turn outbound and return-journey weather into activity-specific clothing, packing and conditions to watch.

Our take

People planning what to wear and pack around both ends of an outing

Consider Wethra when a forecast needs to become a practical packing decision for a particular activity and return time. Its main distinction is checking both parts of the outing. Confirm the free activity boundary before relying on it: the current store and website disagree, and the planning horizon also differs between public descriptions.

Keep in mind: The current store and submission say all 15 activities are free; the website says only cycling, commuting and walking are free, with 12 more in Premium. Actual access was not tested.

What you can do

  • Activity-specific clothing and packing suggestions for a planned outing
  • Weather checks for the journey out and the journey home, with route and Kids modes
  • Forecast details including rain, wind, temperature, UV, visibility and humidity
  • Premium planning, wardrobe preferences, saved plans/locations, history, sync and additional widgets

Good for

  • People planning what to wear and pack around both ends of an outing
  • Comparing weather implications for a commute, walk or outdoor activity

Consider alternatives for

  • A guarantee of safe conditions or a substitute for official weather warnings
  • Assuming the website and store describe identical free access

Plan the return as well as the departure

Choose the activity and when you expect to return. Wethra’s product workflow checks changing conditions across both journeys and translates those into clothing, packing and warnings. A warm dry departure can therefore lead to a recommendation to take an additional layer or waterproof item for later. The screenshots illustrate that workflow; their weather values are examples, not our forecast test.

Resolve access and forecast-horizon differences before purchase

The current GB listing and developer submission say all 15 activities are free, while the official homepage still restricts free access to cycling, commuting and walking. We retain both statements instead of selecting the more generous one as verified device behavior. The update notes also say planning covers up to 10 days including today, whereas the description retains seven-day wording.

UK Premium is listed at £2.99 monthly, £13.99 annually or £49.99 lifetime. Monthly and annual plans describe a seven-day trial. Confirm eligibility, renewal and the features actually unlocked on your platform’s purchase screen.

Editorial basis

Official website, press page, privacy page, GB App Store version 4.1.8 and the linked Google Play listing were checked November 7, 2026. The current iOS release requires iOS/iPadOS 15 or later. Official product images are presented as examples; no weather-accuracy, journey, access or cross-platform test was performed.

Limitations & considerations

  • The current store and submission say all 15 activities are free; the website says only cycling, commuting and walking are free, with 12 more in Premium. Actual access was not tested.
  • Version 4.1.8 notes describe Apple Weather and planning up to 10 days including today; the main description and website still say seven days.
  • Prices here are UK pounds from the GB store, not a US or worldwide quote. Android feature parity and current version are unknown.

Privacy & permissions

The official privacy page describes location, preferences and account details but its readable page provides little feature-level processing detail. This guide does not establish a complete data-flow or retention map.

Location-based forecasts and cross-device sync should not be assumed to be entirely local. Review in-app permissions and the current platform privacy declarations before entering saved locations.
