Practice Math Through a Story
Choose the arithmetic level first, then use the story and written help to support a short practice session.
The short answer
Bella and Pan combines selected U.S. K–5 arithmetic topics with a three-chapter story. Start with a level that matches the child’s current skills, let the child try a question, and use the optional animated written steps when an explanation would help. Choose the iPhone, iPad or compatible Mac adventure for that teaching view; the included Watch activity is a separate short game.
Choose by skill, then try one question
Use a familiar difficulty to begin. Story progress can provide a reason to continue, but a grade label is only a starting guide. A parent can adjust the level around the arithmetic the child is practicing.
Use the working, then return to the problem
When a question needs explanation, use its optional step-by-step view in the main adventure. Replay the working if useful, then return to the same problem. Treat this as supplemental practice rather than a substitute for instruction or a learning assessment.
Pick the right device and purchase model
The full adventure works offline, with local progress and no ads or in-app purchases according to the provider. The included five-question Watch activity has separate scores and no written teaching help. Check the system requirements before buying.
Limitations & considerations
- Select difficulty by skill; the grade ranges describe arithmetic topics, not a guaranteed learning outcome.
- The written interface and story support English, Spanish, Polish, German and French; audio remains in its original language.
