AI Family Locator

See accepted family members on a shared map, with optional place alerts, history and Family AI.

Our take

Families who explicitly agree to share location and can check device permissions together

Shortlist AI Family Locator for a family that wants an agreed location-sharing circle on supported iPhones. Check how an invitation is accepted and how to stop sharing before relying on a map. Compare the iPhone Premium scope with the separately sold browser map: a web pass does not establish access to every app feature, and entering a phone number does not reveal its location.

Keep in mind: The sharing phone needs a supported app, accepted invitation, location permission and connectivity; an old map update is not proof of a current position.

What you can do

  • A family map with member location, battery and update time after an accepted invitation
  • Optional Premium for location history, arrival/departure alerts and driving reports
  • SOS location notifications to the circle, with delivery and connectivity limits
  • Optional Family AI; the provider also advertises 3D character and vehicle markers

Good for

  • Families who explicitly agree to share location and can check device permissions together
  • Comparing a simple live map with paid history, alerts or a separate browser viewer

Consider alternatives for

  • Finding a person by entering their number without their acceptance
  • Emergency dispatch or guaranteed real-time location and alert delivery

Check the whole invitation before buying

Ask each participant to review the invitation and permissions on their own phone. The provider describes a free first phone-number invitation and joining by invite code; current accepted sharing appears on the family map. More phone-number invitations and several history/alert tools need Premium.

Compare billing channels by the job you need

The browser map has one-time web passes for one number or unlimited numbers. App Store Premium is a separate subscription channel. Confirm which devices will share location and which person will only view the map before choosing either product. The current iPhone Premium amount and billing period were not established.

Editorial basis

The official product reference, press kit, app privacy policy and US App Store version 1.0.1 were reviewed November 3, 2026. The published store name is Family Locator: SOS & Check In. Press images are provider-supplied interface examples; no person was located, invitation sent, account created or alert tested. The SOS tool alerts family and is not an emergency-response service. No payment or positive coverage was promised.

Limitations & considerations

  • The sharing phone needs a supported app, accepted invitation, location permission and connectivity; an old map update is not proof of a current position.
  • The current product page says the Android sharing app is not publicly released. Browser viewing on Android does not make it an Android sharing app.
  • The App Store seller is Yury Mekhau, IE; the official reference names YeahApps LLC. Both sources identify App Store ID 6816534113.
  • The privacy policy refers to older store naming and Android scope. Current identity and public release status follow the product reference and Apple listing.

Privacy & permissions

The service handles location, potentially background location and history, to provide the agreed sharing circle. Members control location permission and can leave the circle according to the provider.

The policy describes account and service processing as well as optional features. Read feature-specific sharing choices before enabling extras; we have not audited the network or tested the accuracy of its disclosures.
