Strolltime: Walk to Scroll
Set a personal step-to-app-time exchange, earn minutes from walking and start sessions for selected apps using Apple Screen Time.
People who want a self-chosen walking-to-screen-time plan
Strolltime may fit someone who wants an intentional exchange between everyday movement and discretionary app time. Its balance is shared across selected apps and only counts while those apps are used. A paid membership is required for the core workflow, so free download should not be confused with a free blocking/earning plan.
Keep in mind: The developer’s 6,000 steps for 60 minutes is a configurable example, not a universal exchange rate.

What you can do
- Set a 1,000–50,000-step daily goal and 5–240 earned app minutes, with optional continued earning beyond the goal
- Choose apps, categories or websites through Apple Screen Time and manually start an earned-time session
- Share one balance across selected apps; time pauses when leaving them and unused minutes reset at midnight
- Use one step source at a time; Apple Health can include iPhone/Apple Watch steps
Good for
- People who want a self-chosen walking-to-screen-time plan
- Sharing a single earned-time allowance across selected distractions
Consider alternatives for
- A free core earning/blocking workflow or a medical fitness prescription
- Assuming Google Health is generally available or multiple step sources are added together
Define the exchange before using it
Choose a walking goal and how many minutes it earns, then decide whether earning continues after reaching the goal. The exchange is personal: the 6,000-step/60-minute screen is an example. Select the apps/categories/sites to manage and start a session when you choose to spend the earned balance.
Understand the balance and step source
Selected apps share one allowance. The publisher says time counts while those apps are used, pauses when leaving, and unused balance resets at midnight. Read Apple Health or one selected Google source rather than adding the same steps twice.
The website and detailed policy qualify Google Health/Fitbit support as testing-only with authorized users, despite the store’s shorter connection wording. Do not rely on general access until your account’s eligibility and authorization are established.
Check membership and privacy separately
Current US version 1.0.3 requires iPhone on iOS 17.4 or later. A paid membership is required for the core features: $3.99 monthly, $19.99 annually or $49.99 lifetime. Trial details depend on the offer and were not established by the public information checked.
Official website, privacy policy and US App Store were checked November 7, 2026. The gallery is official interface/composite imagery with example step and time data. No Screen Time, Health permission, step-counting or subscription test was performed.
Limitations & considerations
- The developer’s 6,000 steps for 60 minutes is a configurable example, not a universal exchange rate.
- Core features require payment; current trial eligibility, duration and pre-purchase access boundaries are unknown.
- Google Health/Fitbit access is in testing for authorized users according to the detailed policy; general production access has not been verified.
- Screen Time behavior across devices, interruptions and ways around a self-imposed limit were not tested.
Privacy & permissions
The October 29 policy says Apple Health data and Screen Time selections are processed locally. No Strolltime account or advertising tracking is required.
Apple and RevenueCat process purchases, membership status and subscription analytics. Optional Google Health connects directly to Google, stores tokens in Keychain and has separate authorization/deletion behavior; local-first does not mean no network services.
