Earn App Time by Walking
Choose your own step-to-time exchange, then decide when to spend it.
The short answer
Strolltime may fit someone who wants an intentional exchange between everyday movement and discretionary app time. Its balance is shared across selected apps and only counts while those apps are used. A paid membership is required for the core workflow, so free download should not be confused with a free blocking/earning plan.
Define the exchange before using it
Choose a walking goal and how many minutes it earns, then decide whether earning continues after reaching the goal. The exchange is personal: the 6,000-step/60-minute screen is an example. Select the apps/categories/sites to manage and start a session when you choose to spend the earned balance.
Understand the balance and step source
Selected apps share one allowance. The publisher says time counts while those apps are used, pauses when leaving, and unused balance resets at midnight. Read Apple Health or one selected Google source rather than adding the same steps twice.
The website and detailed policy qualify Google Health/Fitbit support as testing-only with authorized users, despite the store’s shorter connection wording. Do not rely on general access until your account’s eligibility and authorization are established.
Limitations & considerations
- The developer’s 6,000 steps for 60 minutes is a configurable example, not a universal exchange rate.
- Core features require payment; current trial eligibility, duration and pre-purchase access boundaries are unknown.
