The short answer

Color Identifier can help name a color, copy its digital values or compare a saved reference with a later sample. Choose the workflow that matches your question and keep capture conditions consistent. Use physical samples for a final paint decision; a phone’s estimate does not establish an exact formula.

Choose the kind of answer you need

For a digital image, sample a point and inspect the code. For an everyday object, a readable color name may be more useful. Colorblind Mode can label selected scene positions while tracking remains available. It is an information aid, not a correction to color vision.

Save and compare a reference

Save a useful reference, then capture a later sample and read the comparison together with lighting guidance. Different exposure, surfaces and illumination can change the result. A RAL suggestion identifies a reference in a licensed catalogue, not necessarily the paint already on the wall.

Distinguish free browser tools from mobile plans

Browser tools are free, while mobile saving limits and complete free boundaries are not established. Publisher US references are $5.99 monthly / $29.99 yearly standard, or $14.99 monthly / $49.99 yearly with RAL. Store prose contains older amounts; inspect your regional purchase screen.

Limitations & considerations

  • Mobile saving limits, complete free feature boundaries and trial rules are unknown.
  • The press kit’s dated standard/RAL subscription prices conflict with older amounts still in the store description; the IAP list also contains multiple price entries.
